Marijuana Arrest, Numerous Retail Thefts: Warminster Crimes
The Warminster Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for September.
WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warminster Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for September, including several retail thefts reported at numerous stores.
These are the criminal incidents:
- Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a female juvenile who was passed out and unresponsive with a bottle of wine near her. An ambulance was dispatched due to her level of intoxication. The 15-year-old girl became combative as she was placed on the stretcher and into an ambulance. The girl's mother was notified and followed the ambulance to Doylestown Hospital. The 15-year-old girl was cited for Public Drunkenness.
- Officers were dispatched to Kohl's for a Retail Theft in progress. Officers waited outside for the 2 juvenile females to exit the store, past all points of sale. When the Officers located the females fitting the description, they were searched, and a number of stolen items were found. The females were cuffed and transported to Headquarters to be processed. Each 15-year-old and 16-year-old female was processed and charged with Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. They were transported back to Christ's Home and released to their Guardians.
- Police were dispatched to Kohl's for a report of a retail theft. Loss Prevention gave a description of the man and woman and the vehicle they were operating. The vehicle was stopped in Warrington as the man and woman had stopped at Rally House. Both were transported back to Warminster Headquarters and processed. The vehicle was impounded as it contained numerous bags of clothing. The 64-year-old man was arraigned before Judge Hughes, and bail was set at $50,000 unsecured. The 37-year-old woman was arraigned, and bail was set at $25,000 unsecured. Both were charged with Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.
- Police officers responded to Walmart for a report of retail theft not in progress. A man had passed all points of sale by making a payment on basketball cards. A photo of the man was broadcast on CrimeWatch, and the 42-year-old man was identified by another police department. The man will be cited by mail for retail theft.
- Officers were dispatched to Kohl's for a report of a retail theft not in progress. The man had entered the store and taken a blender, and walked past all points of sale without making a payment. The man put the blender in the back seat of the vehicle and drove away. A Bensalem police officer stopped the vehicle in the parking lot of the Kohl's Department store. The officer was unable to get the man to surrender the blender and return to the Warminster Police Department. A warrant was issued for the 37-year-old man, who turned himself in and was arraigned by Judge O'Neill and released on unsecured bail.
- While on routine patrol, a police officer observed a vehicle run a red light at York and Street Roads. The officer activated the emergency lights, and the vehicle pulled over in the Burger King parking lot on Street Road. The 57-year-old woman refused the Field Sobriety test and also refused a blood draw. She was taken to headquarters to be processed and was released to a friend. The woman will be charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol.
- Officers were dispatched to Christ's Home for Children for a report of an assault. When the officers arrived, the fight had been broken up by staff members. The girls were separated and returned to their rooms. Two 14-year-old girls and a 17-year-old girl will be cited for Disorderly Conduct and Harassment.
- On routine patrol, a police officer noticed a vehicle with a Pennsylvania License plate and New Jersey stickers on the windshield. Upon stopping the vehicle, the officer could smell marijuana emanating from inside. The driver stated the vehicle wasn't hers. The driver consented to the search of the vehicle, and a small bag of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found. The drugs were submitted to the Lab for testing. The 24-year-old woman will be charged with possession of a small amount of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia pending lab results.
- It was determined that a head-on collision that happened at Bristol and Hatboro Roads was, in fact, in the jurisdiction of the Warminster Township Police Department. The Northampton Police Department transferred all the information and evidence to the Warminster Police Department Officers. After a thorough investigation, it was discovered that a 35-year-old man fell asleep at the wheel and caused the accident. The man will be charged with Aggravated Assault by Motor Vehicle, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a small Amount of Marijuana, and numerous Summary Motor Vehicle violations.
