Stabbing At Backyard Party In Warminster, 1 Charged

The Warminster Township man had complained about loud music at the Sept. 6 party, a criminal complaint states.

WARMINSTER, PA — A township man has been charged with stabbing a man at a backyard party after complaining about loud music earlier this month, court records state.

Thomas Jeffery Gero, 43, of Warminster, faces numerous charges after being restrained by guests until police officers arrived at a house party on Sept. 6, a criminal complaint obtained Monday by Patch states.

Warminster Police responded at 10:11 p.m. Sept. 6 to a Madison Avenue home for an unwanted guest at a house party.

Police found Gero being held down by several men, who told police he had attacked a family member with a knife, the complaint states.

The victim suffered a deep wound to his upper left shoulder and cuts near his ear, police stated in the court affidavit.

Witnesses said Gero approached the backyard fence to complain about loud music coming from the party, court records state.

Guests invited him to join the party, gave him food and soda, and spoke with him for about an hour before he allegedly pulled out a large knife and tried to stab the victim in the neck, police said in the complaint.

Gero was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, along with misdemeanor counts of simple assault, possessing an instrument of crime, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, and summary harassment, the criminal complaint states.
