Marijuana Bust, Woman Punched In Head: Warminster Crimes

The Warminster Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for July.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — A marijuana bust was among some of the criminal incidents the Warminster Township Police Department reported in its blotter for July.

These are the criminal incidents:

  • Police officers were dispatched to 280 Jacksonville Road for a report of an assault. The complainant advised that she was sitting outside her door, and the 47-year-old woman punched her on the side of her head, completely unprovoked. The woman was cited for harassment and disorderly conduct.
  • During a routine traffic stop around Street Road in a School Zone, a vehicle was observed with no inspection sticker displayed on the windshield. When the vehicle was pulled over, the officer could smell suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle. In questioning the driver, it was determined that he had marijuana in his possession that he turned over to the officers. The suspected marijuana was sent to the lab pending analysis. The 24-year-old man was cited for the operation of a vehicle without Official Certificate of Inspection. Other charges are pending due to lab results.
  • Officers were dispatched to 626 Jacksonville Road for a report of a theft. The complainant advised that she is the owner of the company, and an employee who had just resigned came back to the building and stole numerous items from the business. In addition, the 45-year-old woman contacted the clients and advised that she was opening her own tutoring business. The woman was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking and arraigned before Judge O'Neill, and bail was set at 10 percent of $10,000.
  • Officers were dispatched to the parking lot of ShopRite for a report of a possible DUI. When the officer arrived, they saw the driver attempting to leave the area and noticed damage to his vehicle. Officers observed a six-pack with two bottles missing inside the vehicle. The 36-year-old man stated he didn't have anything to drink, but was slurring his words and unsteady on his feet. The man agreed to a Breathalyzer. The officers determined that he was not able to drive safely. He called his wife to pick him up, and he was cited for public drunkenness.
  • Officers were dispatched to Street and Newtown roads for a report of a one-vehicle accident with no injuries. Witnesses observed the vehicle hit a pole and leave the scene, driving into the parking lot of Domino's Pizza. Witnesses also observed the driver dump a vodka bottle and throw it in the bushes. The male driver then left the scene and began walking toward Jacksonville Road. A description of the driver was broadcast via Bucks County Dispatch. The 55-year-old man was located on Johnsville Boulevard. The man admitted to drinking vodka and hitting the pole. The man agreed to sobriety testing, Breathalyzer testing, and a blood draw. The man will be charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
  • Officers were dispatched to Evergreen Avenue, where a man was sleeping under a tree in the front yard. The homeowner advised that the male tried to gain entry to the home by the front door and then went to the back door. The man was visibly intoxicated and gave a poor sample on the Breathalyzer. The 32-year-old man was handcuffed and transported back to Headquarters. He was transported home and cited for public drunkenness.
