Neighbor Stole $20K From Warminster Woman Before, After Her Death: PD
The neighbor of 88-year-old Lydia Sakaitis took her savings and apartment belongings in a scheme with her ex-husband, court records state.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — Three people are in custody for bilking an 88-year-old township woman out of over $20,000 before and after she died, court records state.
A neighbor and her ex-husband stole money from their Meadowood Condos neighbor Lydia Sakaitis, who died in October 2024, a criminal complaint states.
Gail Hills, 64, faces felony charges, including financial exploitation of an older adult and conspiracy. Wayne Hills, 68, Gail's former husband, and Paul Gibbons, 45, have also been charged, an affidavit of probable record states.

The Hills were released from jail on unsecured bail, while Gibbons is currently behind bars for an unrelated charge. All three have November court dates.
The investigation began in February after Sakaitis's niece saw suspicious charges on her aunt's bank account, the complaint states.

The niece told Warminster Police that Hills visited Sakaitis in the hospital and brought her rosary beads and her checkbook, the complaint states.
During that time, four checks were written out for nearly $12,000.
After Sakaitis died, the suspects withdrew nearly $1,500 from her bank account and sold her Hyundai Santa Fe. The niece said Hills also emptied Sakaitis's apartment, the complaint states.
Warminster Township Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
