Senior 'Scam Prevention' Event Set In Warminster

Officials from the Pennsylvania attorney general's office and other will be on hand to share anti-fraud information with seniors.

WARMINSTER, PA — An event aimed at helping seniors recognize and avoid scam attempts has been scheduled in Warminster.

The event, Senior Scam Prevention 101, is sponsored by state Sen. Maria Collett. It is scheduled for 1:30-4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Ben Wilson Senior Activity Center, at 580 Delmont Ave.

Representatives from Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro's office and BB&T bank will provide tips on avoiding common scams and protecting yourself from fraud. Other local organizations also will be on hand to answer questions and provide additional information.
