South Warminster Rd. Grade Crossing Construction: What To Know

A full-depth renewal of the South Warminster Road grade crossing will take place from Friday morning to Monday morning.

WARMINSTER, PA — The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) has announced upcoming construction to take place at the grade crossing on South Warminster Road.

The full closure of the road will take place from Friday, April 8 at 6 a.m. through Monday, April 11 at 6 a.m. All traffic lanes will open on or before Monday morning.

"SEPTA’s in-house forces will perform full-depth renewal of the South Warminster Road grade crossing," the organization said in a statement. "Crews will be removing and replacing ties, rail, and panels."

During the closure, drivers who usually take this road will be directed to use York and Byberry roads. Detours will be posted and maintained for the duration of the work.

Shuttle buses will also be available to transport Regional Rail passengers between the Warminster and Willow Grove stations during the closure.
