Township Launches Redesigned Website
Warminster officials hope the new sites encourages better communication between the township and residents.

Local Internet users might be confused when they visit Warminster Township's official website. They are on the right page, it just looks drastically different.
Months of preparation has led to this week's relaunch of the township website. The standard siderail of menu options and the main feature of news and information updates has been replaced with a colorful page laden with pictures showing off the best of the township.
The site redesign was managed by the Doylestown-based firm Sitecats for a cost of approximately $9,000 for the township, according to township manager Rich Manfredi. The main goal for the redesign, Manfredi said, was to make the page easier to navigate and open a back-and-forth dialogue with the citizens of Warminster.

"One of our top priorities this year is developing a better communication with our residents," said Manfredi. "This is a key part of our tool box. Users will find it much easier to receive information and to send feedback to the administration."
The page opens with a slideshow that switches between a welcoming introduction and a link to the Five Ponds Golf Course page. A menu bar at the top displays full navigation options when the mouse hovers over a particular word. For example, "Public Services" reveals links to information about the police department, emergency management/services, licenses & inspection, engineering & operations, parks & recreation and the library.

Scroll further down the page, and photos provide direct links to the more popular township features, such as the golf club, library and the board of supervisors page.
At the bottom sits a township event calendar, plus quick links to feedback forms that residents can use to report potholes or other necessary repairs to the public works department or a separate form to ask more general questions from the Warminster administration.
