Walmart, Liquor Store Thefts, DUIs: Warminster Crimes

The Warminster Township Police Department has released its blotter of recent criminal incidents.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — Several DUIs and retail thefts were reported during one of the police department's busiest month for crimes.

The Warminster Township Police Department released its police blotter for July.

  • An officer stopped a vehicle that was having trouble maintaining the lane of travel. The vehicle stopped at County Line and Davisville Roads. The officer pulled over a 40-year-old man who was slurring his speech and stumbled while getting out of the vehicle. He said he was unable to perform the field sobriety test due to an issue with his hip and leg. The man also refused a Breathalyzer and a blood draw. The man was handcuffed and transported back to Headquarters to be processed. The male will be charged with Driving Under the Influence.
  • Officers responded to the Red Stallion for a report of an accident. A 27-year-old woman said she hit the rear bumper of the Complainant's vehicle and provided information. The officers suspected the woman to be under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol. The woman consented to Field Sobriety tests, which she failed. The woman was handcuffed and taken to headquarters for a blood draw and to be processed. Pending Blood test results, the female will be charged with Driving Under the Influence.
  • Officers were dispatched to the area of Sinkler and Log College Roads for a report of a vehicle hitting a parked car and leaving the scene. The caller heard the sound of a crash and observed a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road. He phoned Bucks County Dispatch and described the striking vehicle. Officers responded and stopped the vehicle and could smell alcohol emitting from the driver. Officers administered field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer test, both of which the 47-year-old male failed. The male was handcuffed and transported back to Headquarters; the male was processed and consented to a blood draw. Pending blood results, the male will be charged with Driving Under the Influence.
  • On routine patrol, an officer saw a man on a motorcycle exiting the CVS on York Road parking lot with a red basket filled with items. The motorcycle then turned into Walsh's Tavern. The officer then saw the motorcycle operator put the items from the basket into a backpack. The officer approached the man and asked if he had paid for those items. The 36-year-old man said he did not. The man was handcuffed and taken back to headquarters to be processed for retail theft.
  • Police responded to Walmart for a report of a retail theft in progress. When police arrived, they were advised that the man had left the scene. The Loss Prevention Officer said the man had made threats toward him and exited the store. Upon a search of the area, the man could not be located. A warrant was issued for the man. He was stopped by another police department and taken into custody. The 31-year-old man was transported to Headquarters, processed, and arraigned before Judge Gambardella, and bail was set at $25,000 unsecured.
  • Police were dispatched to 96 Park Avenue for a report of an employee's spouse trying to gain entry to the business. Police advised the female employee to obtain a Protection from Abuse Order. The 30-year-old man was cited for Disorderly Conduct and Harassment.
  • Police officers were dispatched to the Wine & Spirits Shop on Street Road for a retail theft. Two juvenile girls' descriptions were given out via Police Radio, and another officer stopped them while they were walking on York Road. When police determined that the girls were underage, their parents were called. Both 15-year-olds were given citations for Retail Theft and Underage Drinking and released to their parents.
