Warminster, Hatboro-Horsham Fire Companies Get State Grant

The Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service program is designed to help fund departments across the commonwealth.

WARMINSTER, PA — Several fire companies in the Hatboro-Horsham and Warminster areas have received state grants from the Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

"Our local firefighters and emergency service workers put their lives on the line day after day to protect the members of our community," said state Sen. Maria Collett, who announced the grants locally. "These grants will help provide the equipment and training our emergency personnel need to continue to do their jobs safely and effectively."

In all, Collett said there were $309,766 in grants for 27 fire companies and EMS departments in her district. Among them were:

  • Southampton Fire Company No. 1 – $14,248.03
  • Warminster Fire Department – $14,111.10
  • Warrington Community Ambulance Corps – $9,192.44
  • Warrington Township Fire Company Num 1 – $14,248.03
  • Warrington Township Department of Emergency Services – $13,563.39
  • Enterprise Fire Co. of Hatboro – $14,111.10
  • Horsham Fire Company No 1 – $13,700.31
  • Horsham Fire Company No 1 EMS – $9,192.44

The Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service grant program is designed to help departments across the commonwealth fund their facilities, equipment, training, education and more.
