Warminster Library Announces Reopening Dates

WARMINSTER, PA — Warminster Township Free Library has announced when it will resume curbside pickup and, later, reopen its doors to the public, after the coronavirus shutdown.

The library, at 1076 Emma Ln., will begin curbside pickup on Monday, June 29, and reopen for indoor service a week later, on July 6.

The curbside pickup will be for items placed on hold. Patrons are asked to look for items online and place holds on them. They will be notified when the items are ready to be picked up. They may also call the library at 215-672-4362 to place a hold.

Curbside service will continue even after the library's doors open, staff said.

Once the library reopens on July 6, occupancy will be limited to maintain social distancing. Patrons may have to wait in line to get into the building. As the weather warns, library staff is encouraging patrons to wait on the grass in the middle of the parking lot or in their cars.

Entrance to the library will be limited to the meeting room (south) doors. Patrons will leave through the main doors in the lobby.

The following rules also will be in place:

• Hanging out, congregating, extended sitting, reading and homework tutoring will not be allowed in the beginning.
• Meeting rooms will not be available.
• No food will be allowed in the library. Drinks must be in tightly lidded containers.
• Items must be returned to the outside book drop, including museum passes, Roku sticks and hotspots. The inside book drop is closed and staff cannot receive items. All due dates were extended to Aug. 1.
