Warminster Police Encourage Residents To Lock Car Doors

A series of car thefts on Wednesday prompted police to warn local residents about the importance of locking their vehicles.

WARMINSTER, PA — A string of car thefts that occurred on Wednesday has prompted the Warminster Township Police Department to remind residents to lock their vehicles.

On Wednesday night, in the areas of Davisville Road to Newtown Road and Overlook Drive to Bristol Road, several cars were stolen, with other acts of criminal mischief involved. Police determined that all of the vehicles that were stolen were unlocked at the time of the thefts.

"Locking your vehicle will greatly prevent thieves from easy access to valuable property left in the car," the police department said in a statement.
