Warminster Wireless Store Worker Shot During Robbery

Police are seeking two men they say robbed the store on County Line Road on Thursday and shot the employee in the stomach.

WARMINSTER, PA — Police in Warminster are on the hunt for a gunman who shot a worker at a local cellphone store on Thursday.

At 3:49 p.m. Thursday, Warminster Township Police were called to the Metro PCS store, at 269 E. County Line Rd., on a report of a robbery in progress and shooting.

When they arrived, they found an employee with a gunshot wound to the stomach. The employee told officers that two men had walked into the store to rob it. During the course of the robbery, one of the men shot the employee, police said.

They say both men then ran out of the back of the store and east through the rear parking lot toward Newtown Road, where a vehicle was waiting. Police put out an alert to neighboring agencies to be on the lookout but, as of Friday morning, the men had not been captured.

The Metro PCS employee was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital to be treated.
