Warminster Teenager Charged In Gunpoint Robbery

The Centennial School District was informed Wednesday by Warminster Police about the incident last month, the superintendent said.

WARMINSTER, PA —The Centennial School District has been informed by Warminster Police about an alternative school student being charged with robbing another teenager at gunpoint last month.

Schools Superintendent Dana Bedden told Patch that the CSD administration was made aware of the situation Wednesday involving an alternative school student who does not attend William Tennent High Scool.

The 16-year-old sophomore is being charged with seven felonies, including robbery and conspiracy. He's also charged with a half-dozen misdemeanor crimes and has been incarcerated at Bucks County Correctional Center in place of $750,000 bail, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.

Bedden said the school district's safety and security supervisor, a sworn law enforcement officer, is following up with the appropriate law enforcement agencies.

The superintendent said there was no active threat to anyone in CSD schools.

"As with any case involving a student in this type of situation, we are saddened to hear the news," Bedden said. "Because of privacy concerns and FERPA, I can't comment further about the student. However, please know that CSD continues to follow the appropriate process and procedures to address student situations in a manner that provides due process and ensures the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and school visitors."
