YMCA Kids Triathlon Is Right Around The Corner

Kids Tri Village promises family fun as River Crossing YMCA invites athletes age 6-15 to swim, bike and run at annual triathlon

River Crossing YMCA will host its annual Kids Triathlon at the Doylestown branch at 2500 Lower State Rd. on Sunday, August 10. The YMCA Kids Tri has been an annual event for the community since 2008.

The YMCA Kids Tri is a swim, bike and run event incorporating the pool, parking lots, and surrounding neighborhood streets. Courses are configured to the six-15 year old age groups, and feature a special “WeeBees” course for three to five-year olds accompanied by an adult. This year’s event continues the annual, inclusive “Compete to Complete” theme. A limited number of spots remain available for families to sign up.

“Since the early beginnings of the YMCA Kids Triathlon we have built upon our successes, as well as learned and improved year over year,” reflected Nicole Bandura, senior director of facilities and risk management and organizer of the Kids Tri this year. “Our kids tri provides young athletes a celebrated, competitive event that promotes preparation, goal-setting and the joy of accomplishment for their entire family.”
