Franklin County caregiver suffered overdose while watching dementia patient (fox43.com) — Waynesboro police say a caregiver overdosed on drugs while responsible for a dementia patient inside the patient’s Waynesboro home, leading to emergency treatment with Narcan and multiple criminal charges. The incident allegedly occurred on the caregiver’s first day on the job and involved suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia found in her purse.

Police say he was found unresponsive and entrapped at the scene, while an 18-year-old passenger was not injured and nearby roads were temporarily closed during the investigation.

Marchione Jr. The Adams County Coroner is still trying to locate any living relatives and is asking anyone with next-of-kin information to contact the office.
