Wilson, received six months’ probation, fines, and required safety programs after pleading guilty to a first-offense DUI and careless driving in county court. The report also details sentences for several other DUI, theft, and drug cases involving defendants from around the region.
   

• Helen Pillar (heraldstandard.com) — West Newton is mourning the passing of longtime resident Helen Pillar, 76, who died December 8 at Jefferson Hospital.
