1 Dead After Weekend Fire In Chester County
One person was killed in the weekend tragedy.
CHESTER COUNTY, PA — One person was killed in a house fire in Chester County over the weekend and another was hospitalized, authorities said.
The incident occurred in Uwchlan Township in the early morning of Sunday, Aug. 10.
The blaze began at a home on the 700 block of Taylor Road, officials said. The cause of it is not yet clear.

The house was up in flames when the Lionville Fire Company and Uwchlan Police Department arrived.
One of the residents, a man, was able to escape, and was taken to the hospital. The other, also a man, was trapped inside.

First responders were able to locate the man inside but he was already dead when they found him, according to authorities. His identification has not been made public.
The Uwchlan Township Fire Marshal's Office and the Chester County Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the cause of the blaze.
