10 Judicial Candidates Win Chester County Primary: Unofficial Results

Ten candidates, five from each party, will run for judge in November, according to unofficialChester County Voter Services reports.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA —Ten candidates, five from each party, will be running in November for seats on the Chester County bench, according to unofficial results available Wednesday.

The top five candidates in each party won the primary out of 12 candidates.

Judges are elected to 10-year terms and earn an annual salary of $197,119.

With 100 percent of the precincts in Chester County reporting, these are the top vote-getters in each party provided by the Department of State.

Democratic primary

Sarah B. Black: 36,005 votes, amounting to 18.42 percent, Republican votes: 7,529, amounting to 4.8 percent;
Sheriff Fredda D. Maddox: 32, 021 votes, amounting to 16.38 percent, Republican votes: 5,705, amounting to 3.67 percent;
District Attorney Deb Ryan: 32,290 votes, amounting to 16.5 percent, Republican: 5,975 votes, amounting to 3.84 percent;
Judge Nicole Forzato: 31, 367, amounting to 16.04 percent.
Thomas McCabe: 26,178, amounting to 13.9 percent; Republican: 4,145, amounting to 2.6 percent.

Republican Primary

  • Judge Lou Mincarelli: 27,214, amounting to 17.5 percent; Democratic votes, 3,975, amounting to 2.03 percent.
  • P.J. Redman: 26,560, amounting to 17.08 percent, Democratic votes, 5,291 votes, amounting to 2.7 percent;
  • Andy Rongaus: 25,205, amounting to 16.2 percent, Democratic 5,247, amounting to 2.6 percent;
  • Don Kohler: 24, 274 percent, 15.6 percent; Democratic, 2,736, amounting to 1.4 percent;
  • Dave Black: 23,711 percent, amounting to 15.2 percent, Democratic, 3,343, amounting to 1.71 percent.
