$133K Check Fraud Scheme Results In Four Arrests In Chester County
Police also arrest suspects on charges of endangering the welfare of children, making terroristic threats and assault.
CHESTER COUNTY, PA —A 48-year-old is free on $50,000 bail accused of participating in a scheme of writing $133,000 in fraudulent checks at a business in the 300 block of West State Street in Kennett Square.
Miguel A. Vilchis-Nava was arraigned before District Judge Albert Iacocca in Kennett Square on Dec. 7 on charges of dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, theft, receiving stolen property, and related offenses.
Police said he was one of several employees who wrote fraudulent checks from the spring of 2021 to April or May of 2022. The business was not identified.

Police also charged these suspects in the check scheme:
- Police issued a warrant for the arrest of Maria De La Luz Vilchis-Nava, 38, of West Grove.
- Hilda Dominguez-Bastida, 23, of Avondale, is free on $25,000 awaiting court action on theft and related charges.
- Carla Renteria, 31, of Newark, Delaware, is free on $50,000 bail awaiting a preliminary hearing.

- Clemente Salomon-Dominguez, 34, of West Chester is free on $2,000 bail after being arraigned on charges of driving without a license in an accident involving injury. Police said Solomon-Dominguez was in a crash at Lenape and Shropshire roads on Nov. 22 in which a driver of another vehicle sustained minor injuries.
- Fernando Beltran-Andrade, 34, of Toughkenamon, New Garden Township, is free on $10,000 bail on charges of making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and harassment. Police said Beltran-Andrade threatened to kill two male victims on Dec. 5 in the 100 block of North Walnut Street in Kennett Square.
- Kasandra Torres, 32, of Downingtown, is awaiting court action on charges of endangering the welfare of children, possessing marijuana, and traffic offenses on Dec. 8 at Whole Foods, 175 N. Pottstown Pike, Exton.
- Daniel Rizzolo, 42, of Folcroft, is free on $25,000 awaiting court action on charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct. Police said on Dec. 3 he struck a female in the face, causing swelling in the 300 block of South Broad Street, Kennett Square.
