2 Shot, Wounded In West Chester Shooting Over Weekend
As New Year's Day turned into Jan. 2, a shooting was reported on Gay Street in West Chester that sent two men to the hospital.
WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester police reported a shooting at 3 a.m. Saturday in front of a hookah lounge on Gay Street, and they are still investigating the incident that left two men wounded.
West Chester Borough Police officers responded to the report in the wee hours of Saturday and discovered two men who had gunshot wounds in the 50 block of Gay Street. Both victims were transported to a hospital by EMS, police reported.
The police department's criminal division is investigating the shooting, the department reported.

"Our Criminal Division is following leads, and gathering information," the WCPD stated over the weekend on social media. "At this time there is no new information and we continue to work with our Law Enforcement partners from the Chester County District Attorneys Office, the Pennsylvania State Police, and The West Chester University Police Department."
The department said it will release new information when it becomes available.
