“We have strong relationships with the YMCAs located in areas where our automotive group operates, because the organization’s mission so closely aligns with our own values as a family-owned business,” Beans Gilbert said.

Brian Raicich, executive director of the Upper Main Line YMCA thanked Ally Financial and Fred Beans Automotive Group for the donation.

"We are honored that Beth Beans Gilbert chose us as the recipient of this funding and that she recognizes our efforts to support our local community," he said.

He said that the donation will be used for the nonprofit’s financial assistance program to ensure that all children are able to grow, thrive and have fun at camp.

“No child should have to miss these foundational opportunities due to financial hardship," he said.

Beans Gilbert will join nominees from across the country at the 106th annual National Automobile Dealers Association Show in Dallas, Texas, on Jan. 27.

Three finalists will receive an additional $5,000 for their favorite charities, and the winner will receive $10,000 to give to charity, all donated by Ally.

The TIME Dealer of the Year recognizes the nation’s most successful auto dealers who also demonstrate a long-standing commitment to community service.
