$34K Bogus Transaction At West Chester Bank Results In Arrest: Police
Chester County suspects are also charged with aggravated assault, indecent assault, shoplifting and more.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA —A 21-year-old Delaware man is accused of making a bogus transaction of $34,000 on March 3 at a West Chester bank in March, West Chester police said Tuesday.
Destant Jones is free on $20,000 bail after being arraigned before District Judge Marian Vito on identity theft unlawful use of a computer and related charges.
Police said an investigation identified Jones as a suspect in the transaction at the Truist Bank branch located at 1 North High St.

Jones turned himself into the police on May 17.

- Noah R. Cherella, 37, of West Chester is in Chester County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail on charges of aggravated assault and harassment. Police said Cherella initiated a physical altercation with several victims in the 700 block of Franklin Street on May 22. They said the victims required medical treatment. Cherella fled the scene, but later returned and was transported to prison.
- Caleb Ladson, 18, of West Chester is free on $5,000 bail awaiting a preliminary hearing on a charge of simple assault. Police said he was involved in a disturbance on May 14 in the 200 block of West Market Street.
- Dennis J. Grady, 54, of West Chester is free on nominal bail on charges of indecent assault, open lewdness, and disorderly conduct. West Whiteland police said Grady exposed himself on Monday, May 22, at Barnes and Noble in the 300 block of Main Street, Exton.
- Monica Velcu, 36, was arrested on Tuesday, May 16, on charges of shoplifting at the Giant in the 100 block of East Swedesford Road, Exton.
