Additionally, Chester County commissioners reported the COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program will provide $34.5 million to help Chester County’s renters with rent and utility costs.
The county's news release said details of this program will follow in the coming weeks, but renters who are facing challenges in paying rent can register their interest now by calling 2-1-1.
"We are very proud of our county department staff, and our partner agencies. Individuals and teams who are working hard to make initiatives like CHIRP and the rental assistance program happen. We know that they see it as an honor to be given the tools to help others, and their dedication in getting the news out about these programs, and navigating the 'system' for county residents and businesses is admirable," the county's news statement said.
