$900 Of Items Stolen From Giant Food Stores in Downingtown: Police

One suspect is accused of stealing $600 worth of medicine and two others are accused of stealing $300 worth of items.

WEST CHESTER, PA— A 39-year-old Philadephia man is accused of stealing medication valued at $600 on March 23 from the Giant Food Store, 698 Downingtown Pike.

Carlos Charriez is in Chester County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail on charges of retail theft, possessing controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

Charriez was arrested at 8:35 a.m. after he left the store and was walking along the 500 block of West Marshall Street after stealing the medication, according to police.

Two other suspects were arrested at 4:15 p.m. on charges of stealing items valued at $300 from the Giant Food Store.

Kennedy Fields, 20, of Wyncote, Montgomery County, and Terrance Booker, 22, of Philadelphia are awaiting a preliminary hearing on retail theft charges.
