Child Sex Assault Report Leads To Charges: West Chester Police
West Chester detectives investigated a teen's report that she'd been assaulted and prevented from escaping when she was 6 or 7 years old.

WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester Borough Police have charged a man in connection with an alleged sexual assault of a child.
Santiago Salgado-Ochoa, 35, of West Chester, is being held on $150,000 bail after he was charged with felonies related to an alleged sexual assault of a young child, according to court documents.
In December of 2020, a 16-year-old female victim told West Chester police that when she was 6 or 7 years old, a man whom she knew — Salgado-Ochoa — exposed himself to her and told her to touch his private parts, police reports stated.

The teen she had tried to escape, but that Salgado-Ochoa blocked her and locked the door, police reported. West Chester Police detectives investigated the reports in the early months of 2021 and brought charges, according to reports.
Salgado-Ochoa is charged with Corruption of Minors, and Indecent Assault of a person less than 13 years old, and Unlawful Contact with a Minor, all felonies. He is charged with two misdemeanors as well; Indecent Assault, without consent, and Endangering the Welfare of Children, as a parent/guardian.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 7, court records show.
