Armed Man Arrested At Protest In West Chester: Police
Local police received assistance from the FBI and the Chester County Sheriff's Office in connection with the incident, authorities said.
WEST CHESTER, PA — A man was arrested Saturday after he brought a gun to a protest in West Chester, according to authorities.
Members of the public on Saturday alerted officers to the man, who was hiding a firearm and walking along North High Street, where a large rally was gathering, according to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office.
North High Street runs parallel to the Chester County courthouse, where the No Kings West Chester demonstration was held Saturday afternoon.

Officers stopped the pedestrian, questioned him and took him into custody after he was found to be in possession of an unlicensed firearm, according to the district attorney’s office, which noted the man also did not have a registered conceal carry permit.
An apparent video of the arrest was circulating over the weekend on social media.

“The West Chester Borough Police Department is aware of the video surfing social media of WCPD Officers speaking with and detaining a person at yesterday’s protest,” West Chester police said in a social media post Sunday.
Local police received assistance from the FBI and the Chester County Sheriff’s Office in connection with the incident, according to the district attorney’s office, which clarified no one was hurt.
