Assault Charge Not The First For West Chester Man
A West Chester man accused of strangulation and aggravated assault has served time for assault in the past.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A West Chester man awaits a hearing for charges of aggravated assault and strangulation, in what police allege was a "domestic assault."
Bryan Love, 35, was taken into custody by the East Lampeter Township Police Department at 8 p.m. Saturday, though West Chester police has been looking for him since a May 25 incident in the 400 block of Hannum Avenue. Court records allege he "applied pressure to the throat or neck," of a victim.
According to police, Love is charged with Aggravated Assault and Strangulation, both felonies, and with simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Terroristic Threats, all misdemeanors.

Love was transported to Chester County Prison pending a preliminary arraignment set for Oct. 16 at 10:30 a.m. before District Judge Daniel Maisano, according to court records.
In 2018 Love pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor simple assault charge and was placed on probation for two years. In 2012 Love pleaded guilty to both simple and aggravated assault and making terroristic threats, and was sentenced to two years in prison. Love had been charged with strangulation in 2018 also, including two descriptors of "blocking nose and mouth" of an alleged victim, but the charges were dropped, according to court records.
