Bam Margara Is Staying In The Philadelphia Region

WEST CHESTER, PA —Brandon “Bam” Margera is not returning to his flamboyant lifestyle in Los Angelos anytime soon.

The former star of MTV’s “Jackass” is under new bail restrictions that require the former star of MTV’s “Jackass” to remain in the five-county Philadelphia region until his assault case is resolved, prosecutors said. A trial date has not yet been scheduled.

District Judge Albert M. Iacocca also Margera to follow all mandated treatment at the Recovery Center of America, Devon, Chester County.

Margera is also required to undergo random drug and alcohol testing.

The stricter bail requirements followed a preliminary hearing Thursday in which Magera was order ordered held for trial on charges of simple assault of assaulting his brother, Jesse, and making terroristic threats to family members in the family residence, known as "Castle Bam" Pocopson Township, Chester County.

Bam has been in-and-out of drug treatment centers for the last two decades.
Margera said in court that he was staying with former NBA player Lamar Odom, who is also combating addiction.
Lamar told TMZ that Bam left the program early and he was concerned.

On Thursday, Iacocca told Margera that he has family and friends in the area who are here for him.
Bam’s family and friends line the rows in the courtroom, supporting their loved one.

“There are many people who sit in your chair who have no one,” the judge said.

Bam’s brother, Jesse, testified for an hour, talking about his brother’s addiction issues and his lifestyle.

Bam’s lawyer, Michael Van der Veen, said that this was a family matter that did not belong in criminal court.
