Bank Robbery Suspect Behind Bars In Westtown PNC Holdup
George William Drake Jr. is in Chester County Prison in connection with an Aug. 27 robbery that netted less than $300, FBI reports.
WEST CHESTER, PA — A 27-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested in connection with the Aug. 27 holdup at PNC Bank in Westtown in which he fled with less than $300, according to police.
George William Drake Jr. is in Chester County Prison Friday night after being arraigned before District Judge Martin G. Goch on robbery, aggravated assault and related charges.
Police said Drake entered PNC Bank in Westtown Township, demanding cash from a teller and then fleeing in his vehicle with less than $300.

No one was injured during the robbery, police said.
Drake was apprehended at 5 p.m. on Aug. 31 following a joint investigation by the FBI, Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department and county detectives.

Bank robbery is a federal offense and carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison.
