Beloved Former Elementary Teacher, West Chester Graduate, Passes Away
Millie J. Vircsik, 91, served in various community organizations and was a teacher in Phoenixville for many years.

Millie J. Vircsik, age 91, wife of the late Michael Vircsik, of Phoenixville, PA, died Monday, October 10, 2016 in Atria at Woodbridge Assisted Living Center.

Born on September 5, 1925 in Phoenixville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Helen (Wagner) Horning. She was a graduate of Phoenixville High School and West Chester University. Mrs. Virscik taught Fourth Grade at Barkley Elementary School for many years until retiring.
Mrs. Vircsik was a member of First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville. She was also a member, and served as President of Phoenixville Womens Club and a member of Phoenixville Historical Society. Millie will most be rememered for her handcrafted greeting cards that she sent to her family and many friends.

She is survived by Two Daughters, Beverly J., wife of Rick Menne of Middleburg, PA; Linda J. delDuca of Laurel, MT; Son, Michael P. "Skip" Vircsik, III of Reno, NV; Grandchildren: Sara Bolton wife of Erik, Alura delDuca, Rosa Leither wife of Nicholas, and Leila delDuca; Great-Grandchildren: Emma and Jack Bolton, Cira Peters, Itasca Leither; Nieces: Dori Shimer, Pat Missimer. Millie was predeceased by Siblings: Dorothy Shimer, Fritz Horning, and Marie Horning and Niece, Suzanne Kershner.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville, 865 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Young. Burial will be private. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Friday at the church. Contributions may be made to Phoenixville Historical Society, 204 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 or the church at the above address.
