Bitcoin ATM Opens Up In West Chester
A new bitcoin ATM, located inside the Gulph Countryside Food Mart, allows individuals to buy and trade the cryptocurrency.
WEST CHESTER — A new bitcoin ATM has opened up in a convenience store in the borough.
The machine, which allows individuals to buy and trade the cryptocurrency onsite, recently opened up at Gulf Countryside Food Mart, 610 S. Bradford Ave.
Customers, who can use cash to buy and trade bitcoin at the machine, are not required to complete any sort of online registration in order to use the device, according to Hippo Kiosks, the Whitehall, Pa.-based company that operates the bitcoin ATMs.

The machine is available to the public seven days a week.
Hippo Kiosks says that it runs bitcoin ATMs in Bucks County, Chester County, Lancaster County, the Lehigh Valley, and the towns of Denver, Ephrata, Elizabethtown, Middletown and Harrisburg.

According to a news release, the ATM uses hardware from ChainBytes, which says it is a leader in cryptocurrency ATM hardware and software development.
