Chesco Jury Finds Man Guilty Of Selling Prescription Drugs

An Oxford man is guilty of selling prescription drugs illegally, a jury determined this week in Chester County court.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A Chester County jury has found an Oxford man guilty of selling prescription drugs illegally and the verdict could result in up to 54 years in prison.

Raymond Reason, 55, of Oxford, was found guilty of possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of a communication facility, and other charges stemming from three separate drug transactions in 2018, according to a report from the Chester County District Attorney's Office.

Reason will face up to 54 years in prison at his sentencing, which has not yet been scheduled in Chester County court.

On Nov. 20, 2018, the defendant sold four Percocet pills to a buyer on Market Street in Oxford, law enforcement said.

Nine days later, on Nov. 29, 2018, the defendant met a buyer in the same vicinity, this time selling 40 Tramadol pills for $40, according to the D.A.'s report. When the defendant was arrested on Dec. 17, 2018, he was found in possession of 30 Percocet pills, which he was attempting to sell, officials said.

Oxford Borough Police investigated with assistance from the Chester County Municipal Drug Task Force (MDTF).

Assistant District Attorneys Michelle Thurstlic-O’Neill and Siobhan Harding were the prosecutors.
