During the defendant’s trial, her mother admitted that she saw the defendant sexually abusing her daughter but blamed her daughter for it.

Investigators said the victim said her mother wanted her to have a baby with the defendant and knew of the abuse.

Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan said the victim deserves justice and hopefully the sentence provides it so she can move on with her life.

“It is hard to fathom the horror of what this child went through at the hands of the defendant while her mother did nothing,” Ryan said after the sentencing hearing.

Chester County Detectives investigated the case. Deputy District Attorney Erin O’Brien and Assistant District Attorney Madeline Troutman prosecuted the case.

The district attorne asked anyone who suspects a child is being abused to call Childline at 1-800-932-0313
