Chesco Native, Pharma Executive, Farm Owner Passes At 49
Local native Matthew Moran, just 49, enjoyed a dynamic career as a healthcare executive, musical producer, and organic farm owner.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Matthew E. Moran, beloved husband of Veronica and father of Matthew Ethan, left us too soon on Friday, February 8th, 2019. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen M. Moran of West Chester, PA, wife of the late James A. Moran. He is also survived by his three brothers, James A. Moran and Diana of Revere MA, Michael R. Moran and Karen of Royersford PA, and Brian P. Moran of West Chester, PA; as well as 7 nephews and a niece. Matthew is also survived by Veronica's family including her father, Francisco Rojo, husband of the late Maria Rojo, 7 siblings and 13 nieces and nephews.
He will be forever missed. His dream of creating a safe and holy place to celebrate life will be his legacy. In his short 49 years, Matthew was a cherished son and brother, a loving and generous husband and father. He worked his entire career in healthcare and most recently as a Pharmaceutical Executive. His entire family will always remember his abiding love of God, family, and friends. He was also Executive Producer of the musical, "The Answer", a play for the ages about life's struggles and God's compassion.

Matthew was a 1987 graduate of Arch Bishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, PA. He attended Temple University from 1990-1994, where he received his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry. From 2007-2010, he earned his Master of Science (MS) in Biotechnology, and from 2011-2014 he received his Master of Business Administration (MBA), also in Biotechnology, both from the University of Maryland, University College. He enjoyed a dynamic career in the Pharmaceutical industry in California before relocating to Bellevue, Idaho to pursue his dream of owning an organic farm. In the short time he's been in Idaho, he has transformed the Morningstar Farm into an organic and free-range chicken and turkey and sustainable fish environment.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Ralph W. Owens. There will be a visitation from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, his wife Veronica has requested that donations be made to "The Answer", a production Matthew was passionately involved in creating.
