Chesco Sees 10-Day Surge Of More Than 2,000 New COVID-19 Cases

The 10 days following Thanksgiving saw more than 2,000 new COVID-19 cases counted in Chester County, where 14,253 have tested positive.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — In the 10 days following Thanksgiving, Chester County's health department reported daily positives of COVID-19 tests that add up to 2,015 new cases, bringing the county's total case count to 14,253.

The county department of health updated its numbers late Tuesday afternoon, showing a surge of cases especially high between Nov. 30 and Dec. 4.

The daily positive COVID-19 test counts over the 10-day span since Nov. 27 are as follows:

The Chester County Department of Health has reported 419 deaths in the county due to COVID-19.

There have been 133,310 negative test results in the county, and 14,253 positives, as of Dec. 8. West Chester Borough has seen the most cases of COVID-19 of any Chester County municipality, with 790.
