Chesco Teen Raped 7-Year-Old Girl In Her Bedroom: DA

WEST CHESTER, PA — A Chester County teenager has been arrested after police said he raped a 7-year-old girl.

The incident occurred on July 19 in West Brandywine Township.

Drake Lease, 18, of Honey Brook, went into her room while she was sleeping at a relative's house and committed the assault, authorities said.

“The facts of this case are gut wrenching," Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said in a statement. "No child should be sexually assaulted in the middle of the night at a relative’s house. We will continue to work side by side with local law enforcement to swiftly apprehend defendants who prey on children."

The child was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for immediate care after the attack, and received a sexual assault examination, police said.

It is not clear what relation Lease had to the victim, if any.

Lease was booked at Chester County Prison on $750,000 bail.
