CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A children's carnival ride ran off the rails in Chester County this week, leaving several people injured, according to authorities and a media report.

It occurred at the St. Rocco's Church Carnival in Avondale on Wednesday.

6ABC reports that a small train ride for children derailed, and left several injured. The cause of the incident has not yet been made public.

The severity of their injuries is not yet clear, nor is the total number of individuals hurt.

The carnival, organized by Houghton Enterprises, is running through Saturday, June 7 on Sunny Dell Road.
