Chester County DUI Charge Says BAC Was 3 Times Legal Level
A West Grove man is charged with Reckless Endangerment and DUI he was stopped for driving erratically, say police.

WEST GROVE, PA — A Chester County man was taken into police custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence, with blood alcohol content almost three times the legal limit.
The legal limit for blood alcohol while operating a vehicle in 0.08 percent, in Pennsylvania. Eloy Torres-Gonzales, 44, of West Grove, had a blood alcohol content (BAC) level of .222 percent, according to Southern Chester County Regional Police. A BAC of .24 percent would be triple the legal blood alcohol limit.
Torres-Gonzales is charged with DUI, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and related traffic offenses following a Sept. 26 traffic stop at 9:15 p.m., police said.

Police said Torres-Gonzales was driving erratically in the 300 block of Sunnydell Road, in New Garden Township that night.
When Torres-Gonzales was stopped, police said they noticed signs the driver was intoxicated, and they said field testing confirmed the driver was impaired.

Torres-Gonzales was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and agreed to a chemical test of his breath, resulting in the BAC of .222, police reported.
Torres-Gonzales has been was released on bail as he awaits his preliminary hearing.
