Chester County Elections Office Closes In On Count
The remaining ballots received are being tallied now, as Chester County waits.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Chester County released a statement at noon today explaining the state of the ballot count here.
Chester County's Elections Office said at noon Friday that its staff has "resumed working now on the computation of 1,784 ballots."
Elections office staff is also gathering data to help inform next steps with regard to provisional ballots, the pre-canvass and canvass of ballots received by 5 p.m. today, and final reconciliation of the election, according to the county's public information officer.

"A more detailed schedule will be provided once determined," said Chester County Public Information Officer Becky Brain.
Voter turnout was calculated to be over 81 percent in Chester County.

Chester County's 380,388 registered voters cast 309,368 ballots, according to the state's county elections page.
In-person votes tallied 161,935 in Chesco, and mail-in voting 147,433, according to an official Pennsylvania election reporting site.
The county elections report has not been updated since Thursday as the remaining received ballots are tallied. As of Thursday afternoon, former Vice President Joe Biden has 57.72 percent of the Chester County vote and President Donald Trump had received 41.14 percent of Chesco's vote.
Chester County voters so far have cast 177,408 votes for Biden and 126,446 votes for Trump.
Across Pennsylvania, 1.4 million mail-in votes remained to be counted, as of 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
VotesPa shows that mail-in ballots cast by party are overwhelmingly registered Democrats, by a 3-to-1 margin.
