Chester County Hospital on Tuesday shared how to create bug repellents out of household items.

Chester County health officials have shared some tips on how to curb the scourge of bugs – and their bites – at your outdoor gatherings this summer.
According to the link shared on Facebook by Chester County Hospital, here’s what you’ll need:
- Four Mason Jars
- 40 drops each of cedarwood, lavender, lemon and thieves essential oils
- Two fresh lemons
- Two fresh limes
- Eight sprigs fresh rosemary
- Water
- Floating tea light candles
The assembly is fairly simple. Fill each jar ¾ full with water. Then, place in each jar two sprigs of rosemary, 10 drops of each essential oil, a slice of lemon, a slice of lime, more water to raise the liquid to the top and a floating tea light candle on top.
