Update: Chesco Went Blue In Midterm Elections; voter turnout 67.3%
Three federal races, and eight state races went Democratic, and two went Republican: unofficial result by Chesco Voters Services
CHESTER COUNTY, PA —Chester County voter turnout was at 67.31 percent in Tuesday’s midterm general election, with the majority of the votes going to the Democratic candidates in races for U.S. senator and representative and Pennsylvania governor going blue, according to the unofficial results available Saturday.
The state General Assembly races across Chester County also went primarily for the Democratic candidates.
A total of eight Democratic candidates won in state races. Two Republicans candidate won.
A total of 257,518 registered voters, of the 382,333 registered voters, cast ballots in Chester County.

U.S. Senate Race:

- 56.96%, amounting to 146,056 voted for Democratic candidate John Fetterman.
- 40.4%, amounting to 103,590 voted for Republican candidate Mehmet Oz.
U.S. Congress District 6
- 58.79%, amounting to 150,769 voted for U.S. Rep Chrissy Houlahan, a Democratic incumbent.
- 41.14%, amounting to 105,512, voted for Republican candidate Guy Ciarrocchi.
Governor:
- 62.16%, amounting to 158,482 voted for Attorney General Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, who has U.S. Rep. Austin Davis as his lieutenant governor.
- 33.9%, amounting to 92,223 voted for Republican Douglas Mastriano, who had Carrie L. DelRosso on the ballot as a lieutenant governor.
State House D-13:
- 59.4%, amounting to 16,269 went to Republican incumbent John Lawrence, covering western Chester County and two municipalities in Lancaster County.
- 40.43%, amounting to 11,075 went to Democrat David Cunningham.
State House D-160
- 53.1 % amounting to 18,783 went to Republican Craig Williams, covering municipalities in Chester and Delaware counties.
- 46.8 %, amounting to 16,533 went to Democrat Cathy Spahr
The other eight races for General Assembly were won by Democratic candidates.
State Senate D-44
- 55.24%, amounting to 53,618 went to Katie Muth, a Democratic incumbent.
- 44.6%, amounting to 44.66 went to Republican Jessica Florio.
State House D-26
- 56.8%, amounting 17,720 to went to Paul Friel, a Democratic candidate.
- 43.04% , amounting to 13,424 went to Republican Tim Hennessey, a 15-term incumbent.
State House D-74
- 56.05 %, amounting to 13,215 went to Dan Williams, a Democratic incumbent.
- 43..79%, amounting to 10,324 went to Republican Dale Hensel.
State House D-155
- 56.67%, amounting to 18,472 went to Danielle Friel Otten, a Democratic incumbent.
- 43.2%, amounting to 14,080 went to Republican Kyle Schribner

- 59.43%, amounting to 18,350 went to Chester County Recorder of Deeds Chris Pielli, a Democratic candidate.
- 40.46%, amounting to 12,494 went to Republican Heidi VanderWaal.

- 61.28%, amounting to 21,121 went to Melissa Shusterman, a Democratic incumbent.
- 38.62%, amounting to 13,311 went to Republican Sarah Marvin
State House D-158
- 55.54%, amounting to 17,092 went to Christina Sappey, a Democratic incumbent.
- 44.34%, amounting to 13,644 went to Republican Leon Spencer.

- 59.79%, amounting to 19,079 went to Kristine Howard, a Democratic incumbent.
- 40.07% , amounting to 12,787 went to Republican Gail Newman.
