Chesterbrook Academy® Elementary School Hosts 20th Parade of Pumpkins

On Friday, October 13, Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in West Chester hosted its 20th annual Parade of Pumpkins. The event was orchestrated by third grade students and benefits Bringing Hope Home, a Pennsylvania-based organization that supports families fighting cancer.


Students and their parents carved their pumpkins into festive jack-o-lanterns and line them along the playground Friday evening. During the event, students sold soft pretzels, hot chocolate, glow bracelets and more. All proceeds will be donated to Bringing Hope Home.

Bringing Hope Home is a nonprofit organization that provides "unexpected amazingness" to local families affected by cancer through financial and emotional support. Through its Light of Hope Family Grant Program, Bringing Hope Home offers grants to pay essential household bills for families with cancer in Greater Philadelphia.
