Child Rape Results Lands West Brandywine Man Behind Bars

WEST CHESTER, PA —A 29-year-old West Brandywine man was sentenced Friday in the Chester County Justice Center to 20 to 40 years in state prison for raping a girl from when she between ages 5 to 11.

Judge David Bortner sentenced Casey Fowler after he was convicted by a jury in December 2022 of rape, aggravated indecent assault of a child, corruption of minors, and related charges.

Police said Fowler began sexually and physically abusing the victim in 2007 in multiple locations across Chester County when the defendant babysat the victim and at other times.

The victim also stated that the defendant would physically abuse the victim when she would not comply and threatened her on multiple occasions.

The victim also reported to police that the defendant told her that if she told anyone, he would kill her.

After the sentencing, District Attorney Deb Ryan said that the defendant engaged in a pattern of abuse that was truly unimaginable-something no person should ever have to endure.

“The courage and strength of this survivor to come forward is inspiring, and we hope that this helps her heal and move forward," Ryan said. “We are very grateful to all of those who assisted in getting justice for her.”
