Coatesville HS Athlete Selected In 2017 MLB Draft By Baltimore Orioles

COATESVILLE, PA — The Major League Baseball Draft was last month, and while much of the attention was on the Phillies and their eighth overall pick, University of Virginia outfield Adam Haseley, there were several other local players of interest involved.

Among those was Adam Stauffer, a Coatesville High School senior, who was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 19th round.

A number of other Pennsylvania high school and college prospects were drafted this year. Draftees have a few weeks to sign before a team loses their rights. Now that the signing deadline is passed, we can take a look at some of the top players that are entering professional baseball organizations this summer.
