Coatesville Man, 83, Charged With Murder Of His Roommate: Police
Uley Hines is accused of fatally shooting his 61-year-old roommate on Saturday morning in the 200 block of Graham Avenue.

COATESVILLE, PA — An 83-year-old man was arrested in the fatal shooting of his roommate following what a witness described as “an argument over a dog.”
Uley Hines is in Chester County County Prison Monday without bail after being arraigned Sunday before District Judge Gregory Hines on first- and third-degree murder and related charges.
The roommate, Keith Boggs, 61, died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the results of an autopsy completed Monday.

An unidentified witness told police that before the shooting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, she was sitting in her living room and overheard Hines and Boggs arguing over a dog.
The witness said she heard Boggs take the dog up the stairs to the residence in the 200 block of Graham Avenue.

Next, she heard two gunshots and Hines said: “I told you to stop . . . . with me.”
The witness said she heard the victim fall to the ground. Police said the victim was found lying on the front steps of his home.
Washington Hose Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to the Paoli Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police later viewed camera footage taken at the scene by a witness and a surveillance video on the street. The surveillance video showed the suspect’s vehicle leaving the residence at 8:43 a.m., heading westbound on Lincoln Highway.
District Attorney Deb Ryan said that the community is grieving.
“Gun violence remains a devastating epidemic across the nation,” she said.
