Creek Road Closing For Repairs Next Week, Detours Set

Rt. 282 in East Brandywine and Wallace townships will be closed next week for base repair work, PennDOT said.

EAST BRANDYWINE TOWNSHIP, PA — Plan on detouring around a section of Creek Road in East Brandywine and Wallace townships next week as road repair begins there.

Route 282 (Creek Road) is scheduled to close between Devereux Road and Hopewell Road in East Brandywine and Wallace townships Aug. 23-27 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day for base repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

During the closure, Route 282 (Creek Road) motorists will be directed to use Hopewell Road, Route 322 (Horseshoe Pike/Manor Avenue), and Springton Road. There will be local access during the work, PennDOT said.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather-dependent.
