Cute Alert: Chesco Dog Drafted for 'Puppy Bowl'

A Chester County pit bull mix will be strutting his stuff in this year’s “Puppy Bowl” on Animal Planet on Sunday.

Jamison has been drafted for Team Fluff, Animal Planet says. Fluff will be taking on Team Ruff in the 11th-annual display of furry cuteness on Super Bowl Sunday.

Jamison was rescued from Downingtown when he was 3 weeks old,philly.com reported, suffering from cigarette burns, seizures and worms.

The dog was taken to New Life Animal Rescue, NBC said. New Life is “a network of foster homes based out of the Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia area,” the animal rescue organization says.

Kim Mangione, head of New Life, was contacted by Animal Planet representatives looking for some cute pups, and she recommended Jamison, philly.com said.

All of the puppies featured on “Puppy Bowl” come from shelters and rescue groups, Animal Planet said

The Puppy Bowl is taped in October but airs on Super Bowl Sunday. The first showing will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, but it will repeat “all day and night,” Animal Planet said.
