Duck Drama: Baby Ducklings Rescued In Chester County
A group of baby ducklings ran astray this week.
CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Local emergency responders were heroes once again this week in Chester County, and this time, it wasn't humans they were rescuing.
The incident occurred on May 28 in the Barley Sheaf Farms section of Thorndale Township.
Five baby ducks became stuck in a storm drain in the area, with an anxious mother circling.

Caln Township police and Thorndale Fire Company responded to the scene, and found the mother standing guard over the drain.
The team of human responders employed "a lot of coaxing" and eventually were able to lure the ducklings safely up and out of the drain and back to their mother.

Once they were rescued, the mother duck "promptly led them off to their next adventure."
It's not the first time local law enforcement have been called to solve duck drama. A similar feat was performed earlier this year in Conshohocken.
