Emergency Responders Called For Water Rescues In Chesco
A flash flood emergency was issued for northern Chester County at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA - Limbs were flying off trees and vehicles were getting stuck in water on Tuesday afternoon resulting in a flood of calls for emergency workers for water rescues as a hard rain fell on Chester County.
National Weather Services issued a flash flood warning from 3 to 9 p.m. for Chester County. Severe thunderstorms and fog is expected to continue throughout the night. The humidity is at 94 percent.
Route 100 is closed at the Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass between Eagleview and Ticonderoga Boulevard.

Route 282 closed at Hopewell and Nichols Mill Road, East Brandywine Township, due to a tree blocking the road.

- At 3:30 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to East Uwchlan Avenue and Sheree Boulevard, Uwchlan Township, for a vehicle stuck in high water.
- Emergency service responders also were dispatched to Creek Road and Nichols Mill Road to an accident with entrapment in East Brandywine Township.
- Two vehicles were trapped in high water on 1221 East Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.
- Students at the New Horizon Montessori Academy, Exton, waited inside the school until they could safely get out of the school lots.
- At 6:08 p.m., crews responded to a water rescue at Route 30 and Clover Mill Road, West Whiteland Township.
Crews were also called to Marsh Creek State Park; Quarry Lane and Whitford Road, West Whiteland Township; Old Schuylkill and Linfield Roads, East Vincent Township; Conestoga and Kimberton Roads, West Pikeland; and Oak Street and West Chester Road, Coatesville.
