House Fire Claims Life Of Occupant In Parkesburg

Chester County Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire in the 300 block of West First Avenue.

PARKESBURG, PA — One person died in a fire Tuesday night in the 300 block of West First Avenue in Parkesburg Borough, according to officials.

Chester County Coroner's office Wednesday confirmed an individual died in the blaze which broke out at 9:49 p.m.

The identity of the deceased could not be provided because the next of kin has not yet been notified.

Keystone Valley officials said Wednesday they were investigating an odor on the first floor of the building which is next to the firehouse when the fire ignited.

Firefighters from Honey Brook and Keystone firefighters extinguished the blaze and were assisted at the scene by Parkesburg police.
